Gulzhazira Ashirkyzy Koytasova, born on January 07, 1967 in the Turkestan region. Graduated from the Kazakh secondary school named after Abai. In 1985, she entered Alma-Ata Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages (now the Ablaikhan Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages) and graduated in 1990, majoring in English and German. She started her work experience in 1989 as a translator from Kazakh –Russian-English at the KAZEXTO representative office in Kazakhstan. In 1992, she worked as an English teacher at the Kazakh secondary school № 128 named after M. Auezov in Almaty. In 1994, she worked as a teaching assistant at the Department of Foreign Languages for the International Relations departments of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. In 1995, entered KIMEP Institute for full-time, graduated in 1997 and received a Master's degree. 2000-2001, she was a lecturer at the Department of Foreign Languages of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of KazNU. In 2001-2012, she worked as a language translator. From 2012 to 2022, she worked as a senior lecturer at the University of Foreign Languages and Business Career and at the Kazakh National Women's Pedagogical University. Since 2022, she has been working as a senior lecturer at the Department of Foreign Languages of the Philological Faculty of KazNU. She taught at universities the subjects "Foreign language", "Basic basic foreign language", "Second foreign language", "Phonetics", "The practice of oral and written speech", "Special professional foreign language", "Business English", "Professionally oriented foreign language", "Academic writing", "Linguoculturology", "Home reading and listening". More than 35 scientific articles in the field of education, teaching foreign languages have been published in domestic publications, materials of international conferences, and international journals. The textbook "Home reading with tasks" was published. The teacher is still researching the scientific field of teaching foreign languages, semantic translation of Kazakh–English phrases, differences in forms of grammatical tense in two languages, translation of idioms and etc.
